A 1:24,000-scale polygon feature-based layer of Regional Drainage Basins. The regional basin datalayer extends beyond the Connecticut boundary to include the headwaters of every regional basin that flows into the state, except for the Connecticut River basin. These data are for making a Regional Basin-based Mapbook Series. Mapbook is a developer's sample created by ESRI. It is an addition for ArcMap that allows the layout created in an ArcMap document to be used repeatedly to generate a series of similar maps. The extent of each map is controlled by the polygon features of the datalayer designated as an index. Attributes of the index are tagged to and used to change text on each map in the series.

These data are suitable for making a Mapbook Series using Regional Basin as a spatial index. Not intended for use in a conventional GIS mapping or spatial analysis application.
All attributes have valid values. Values are within defined domains. The Regional basin number and Regional basin name polygon attributes were manually entered based information depicted on a map of the state of Connecticut.
The horizontal positional accuracy of this data is unknown.
The completeness of the data is not known. This data is not updated.
Polygon features conform to the following topological rules. Polygons are single part. There are no duplicate polygons. Polygons do not self overlap. Polygons do not overlap other polygons. No tests of logical consistency were performed by the State of Connecticut.
None. No restrictions or legal prerequisites for using the data after access is granted. These data are only suitable for use in creating a spatial index for a Mapbook Series based on Regional Basins. Not intended for use in a conventional GIS mapping or spatial analysis application.
