The CT ECO training team will be putting together a webinar, an interactive presentation transmitted over the Web, focusing on key features of the CT ECO website. This webinar is intended to introduce potential users to various aspects of the website including content, documentation and interactive data viewers. Additional follow-up webinars may be conducted on an as needed basis.
CT ECO Training Webinar - March 2, 2010
On March 2, A CT ECO Training Webinar demonstrated the range of data, tools and techniques for viewing Connecticut's natural resource data in CT ECO. Highlighted features included CT ECO's Data and Resource Guides, Map Catalog, Simple Map Viewer, Advanced Map Viewer, and Map Services. The webinar demonstrated how CT ECO is intended not only for the GIS proficient, but also for a casual map user.
Online Resources
In addition to one or more webinars, the CT ECO training team is currently developing video training modules that provide step-by-step instruction on how to use specific portions of the CT ECO website. These training modules are pre-recorded and describe and demonstrate a particular feature or tool. For example, there will be a training module specifically designed to teach a user how to access and interact with the Simple Data Viewer. All aspects of the Simple Data Viewer will be covered in the training module in ten minutes or less. All modules will be posted in this section of the CT ECO website.
