Description: Analysis associated with imagery products reflect an ongoing work product and do not represent a final determination of eligibility or damage classification. Point dataset representing individual analysis at the building level. The field "DMG_COMBO" represents damage classes derived from a combination of ImageCat assessments and modeled flood depth.Shapefile download: http://184.72.33.183/GISData/ImageCat/result_v27_20121121_2000EST.zipExplanation of observation-based DAMAGE values:Affected:Generally superficial damage to solid structures (loss of tiles or roof shingles); some mobile homes and light structures damaged or displaced. Minor:Solid structures sustain exterior damage (e.g., missing roofs or roof segments); some mobile homes and light structures are destroyed, many are damaged or displaced.Major:(Wind) Some solid structures are destroyed; most sustain exterior and interior damage (roofs missing, interior walls exposed); most mobile homes and light structures are destroyed.(Storm Surge) Extensive structural damage and/or partial collapse due to surge effects. Partial collapse of exterior bearing walls. Destroyed:(Wind) Most solid and all light or mobile home structures destroyed.(Storm Surge) The structure has been completely destroyed or washed away by surge effects.DMG_COMBO values use the above criteria, as well as the following criteria based on modeled flood depth:Affected:Modeled Flood Depth (or Storm Surge): >0 to 2 feet and flooding observed. Depth damage relationships may vary based on building or foundation type, as well as duration or velocity of flood event. In areas of high rise development, modeled results are used exclusively.Minor:Modeled Flood Depth (or Storm Surge): 2 to 5 feet and flooding observed. Depth damage relationships may vary based on building or foundation type, as well as duration or velocity of flood event. In areas of high rise development, modeled results are used exclusively.Major:Modeled Flood Depth (or Storm Surge): Greater than 5 feet, flooding observed, and not high rise construction. Depth damage relationships may vary based on building or foundation type, as well as duration or velocity of flood event. In areas of high rise development, modeled results are used exclusively. Major is the general category where the onset of Substantial Damage (>50% of building value) as defined by the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) may occur.Assessments are made from NOAA aerial imagery, Civil Air Patrol photographs, and media images captured 29-Oct through 08-Nov 2012.Version 27 - 2012-11-21 20:00 EST
